Morning – 1st Period:

We will look at various rhythms, types of music and dance steps as we explore several different Latin dance traditions. We will dance individually, in lines and in couple mixers. Dancers at all levels are welcome, all steps are explained![/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”David Sherman: Late Night Dances (Day 3-4)”]It’s late at night, the music comes on and people run to the dance floor. Come learn some of those dances that everyone else seems to know and enjoy so much. Dances will include Ciuleandra, Salty Dog Rag, a fast Israeli, some of those line dances… This two day mini is open to all. No prior dance experience required.[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”ZA McDonnell: Taking Stock and Moving Forward (Day 1-2 Part 1; Day 3-4 Part 2)”] Do not have to register for both! Through experiential activities and discussion, this class offers the opportunity to reflect on the past year and explore how you want to live into the coming year. In an atmosphere of mutual support, we will imagine and map out our possibilities. In this storytelling workshop, we will focus on listening, sensory imagery, story structure, old stories and personal tales through exercises to help you discover and hone your own unique voice and style. (Age 11-Adult) [/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Children’s Program”] Children ages 5 to 11 are invited to join us for games, crafts, and lots of cooperative play! Bring along your favorite game to share. Morning – 2nd Period:

[accordion tag=h5] [accordion-item title=”Marko Schmale: Play Parties (Day 1-2)”] Imagine dancing while creating your own music.  Play Parties are one of the oldest forms of recreation and an original ECRS activity.  Basic dance steps will be taught and then a song or rhythmic chant will be matched to the dance movements.  There are some active Play Parties but most will be at a walking pace.   So come, Sing, Dance and ‘PLAY’ [/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Play with Paint: Abstract Expressionism, Charlotte Young (Day 3-4)”]Come drip, dribble, splatter, swirl or event brush your way to a painted masterpiece. In a supportive environment, we’ll experiment with paint to let you express yourself. Have fun working with color and texture, primarily with acrylics, if you have other paints you like, do bring them. Games mini; where fun is job one!  A chance to be together, play together and let your hair down.  We’ll play some new games and some old, some quiet games and some raucous ones. A chance to work your mind as well as your body.  Perfect for all children from 9 to 109.  Please wear safe footwear and a smile.
